Like many companies in the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) sector, the client lacked a modern system for orders and a streamlined inventory system.
Prior to Fulcrum, their process involved sending handwritten prescriptions manually to healthcare suppliers which were not just erroneous and time-consuming, but also led to non-completion of orders and affected the critical delivery of the equipment too.
Offline ordering system also led to challenges in handling the documents and patient information. Loss and damage of documents was a concern since this often led to rework in chasing the paperwork all over.
