A Leading Insurance Firm Saves Cost by Partnering with Fulcrum to Supplement Both Business and IT Initiatives
The client is a publicly traded, national property and casualty insurance group providing a broad range of standard and specialty commercial insurance products including property, general liability, and many more. In 2009, the client officially began working with Fulcrum on IT Development and Claims System.
Fulcrum was able to reduce time efforts on Finance Reconciliation Process and Claims Production Trends
Fulcrum reduced outstanding production issues in just 6 months.
Fulcrum’s engagement with the client started with Database Management and over time added a Java team, .NET team, QA Team, and eventually a finalized IT infrastructure. After expanding into business services as well, Fulcrum employees moved from offshore to onsite on a strategic long-term basis.
Application Support and Maintenance Services
Client was having difficulty in managing support and maintenance. These activities were carried out by multiple groups comprising of employees and contractors with resultant support and maintenance redundancy. After analyzing client’s requirements, Fulcrum developed solutions to reduce maintenance costs by containing onsite consulting headcount; provided economical, flexible and effective resource pool to level staff based on project demands; and handled the high degree of complexity in the applications from a support perspective.
BTO Operations Support
After needing to increase resources to handle data entry due to an increase in new business, the client reached out to Fulcrum to assist with BTO operations. Fulcrum discovered a lack of standards for data entry which resulted in data duplication and new account creation. Timeline maintenance was strictly to be followed, requiring every email to be replied back to within 24 hours. A Submission Capture Process was developed by Fulcrum which resulted in guaranteed support service levels, expanded global capability, reduction in time, accuracy in processing the data, and freeing client’s resources for more strategic initiatives.
Recently, the client and Fulcrum celebrated their 10-year partnership. Key changes in the re-organization structure allowed for more agility and scaling up the engagement. Today, Fulcrum has over 200 people working on client’s projects and initiatives.
