Additional Features and Capabilities
The next generation application possessed new capabilities such as cross browser compatibility, unique dashboards for each user type, a smooth transition between the client’s website and the new application, a more intelligent QuickBooks integration for payment tracking/management, a robust job posting system, multitenancy, a business model to bind alumni, enhanced reporting capabilities, and the ability to add multiple fellowship programs into the application.
User Management System
Since the application was built for many different stakeholders (students, alumni, staff, employers), a next generation user management system was crucial. The new portal granted the ability to manage profiles across the application. Different access to different user types was required, as was the ability for certain users to have more than one user type assigned to them. For example, an “employer representative” could also be an “alumnus” of the program.
